Dr. Reem Akel

Dr. Reem Akel founded SmileWise Dentistry to deliver the kind of care she would want for her own family: gentle, thorough, and rooted in mutual respect. Originally from Florida, Dr. Akel holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences and earned her DDS from Virginia Commonwealth University. She’s certified in Invisalign and Botox and is an active member of the American Academy of Clear Aligners. Her use of advanced tools—like the newest iTero scanner—reflects her commitment to precision, efficiency, and long-lasting results.

But what really sets Dr. Akel apart is her patient-first philosophy. Whether she’s helping you understand your treatment plan or working with your preferences around fluoride, she meets you with empathy and flexibility. With a warm demeanor and strong clinical expertise, Dr. Akel is here to support you through every stage of your dental journey.
